'Smoochilicious' Babes: Lips don't lie

Several telly stars seem to be going under the knife for that perfect pout If you've caught a couple of small screen actresses with swollen lips of late, don't be alarmed. You are not imagining things. Following in the footsteps of Bollywood's 'smoochilicious' babes, several TV actresses are also going under the knife to get that perfect pout. Honest confession The latest to join the list is Eva Grover who plays Niharika Kapoor in Bade Achche Lagte Hai. Surprisingly, unlike most of our big screen stars, Eva is candid about her lip job. She admits, "I had thin upper lips and I wanted a fuller mouth. I met this doctor who suggested that I go under the knife. The results have been fabulous and I have finally got the lips I've always yearned for." The actress couldn't be happier with the results. "People are telling me that I am looking sexier and more beautiful. Also, dark and shocking lip shades are most becoming on the pout. I am enjoying every bit of flaunting my shapely lips now, " she says. Model and actress Gauhar Khan is yet another who attempted to change the shape of her lips. Unfortunately, for her, the results were disastrous. "I wanted to try the temporary lip augmentation procedure, which basically lasts for not more than three to four hours. However, I didn't like the way it looked at all and hence the shoot of my show Khan Sisters had to be stalled. I was in shock and wasn't comfortable being captured on camera during that time, " Gauhar had said in a press statement. Younger look It's not just restricted to the lips though. Many actresses are opting for several other nip and tuck procedures too. On condition of anonymity, an actress admitted that she, too, had undergone liposuction. She felt that her face looked too full on screen and hence had the fat deposits under her cheeks removed with surgery. Though painful, she claims it helped her face look younger and more beautiful. With news of more and more cosmetic surgeries coming out of the closet, we wonder if it's time to bid adieu to the concept of natural beauty.
