B-Town wants Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara to win best film award
As Mumbai gears up to host the Filmfare Awards night Jan 29, most Bollywood celebrities feel Zoya Akhtar's "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" will walk away with the best film trophy.
Among the other films competing in the category are "Rockstar", "The Dirty Picture", "Don 2: The King is Back", "No One Killed Jessica" and "Delhi Belly".
There's still time for the final winners to be announced, but when celebrities were asked to make their pick at the Filmfare Awards nomination party Friday night, most gave a thumbs-up to Zoya Akhtar's film "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara".
Here's what some of them had to say:
Farhan Akhtar: The best film doesn't really matter when the producers are the same (for 'Zindagi Na...' and 'Don 2: The King Is Back'). I hope Zoya wins for "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara".
Madhur Bhandarkar: There were a lot of films but "Zindagi na Milegi dobara" was one film I really loved. It was appreciated by all and people loved it. In terms of performance also, Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay did a tremendous job.
Dia Mirza: "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" for me is one of the nicest films that I have seen. I can rate it as one my all-time favourite.
Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, whose film "Rockstar" is also in the race, and Goldie Behl also gave their vote to Zoya Akhtar's road-trip based film, which also featured Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin.
The 57th Filmfare Awards will be held at the Film City in Goregaon here.
